Count It All Joy
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
But let patience have its perfect work,
that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
James 1:2-4
Profound and deep words, words of life,
the voice of God speaking to us
in every circumstance of life:
"Count it all joy for I am with you,
I am working all for your good,
I am making you more like Me"Please share with me and others that visit here

So beautiful -- so humbling to know that He works in all for us! Good to "see" you again -- how are you?
when i read these verses i'm reminded that i CAN count it all joy only when my focus stays on the Lord and what He's wanting to produce in me... but, when i turn my focus to my circumstances joy, or any feelings remotely close, are the last thing i feel!
wonderful words of life here~ thanks for sharing.
ps. gorgeous pictures too!
Wow the Word with photo's is absolutely stunning!
WOW ..... that He does that for me.....in every circumstance He is molding me to be like Him. WOW.
lovely pics!
Hello Ms. Colleen,
You made your site simple yet elegant. The pictures are a nice touch. I see that God is foremost in your mind as you go about your daily activities. Now is a good time! I recommend the one true God, Jehovah.
I want to help people to really get to know God, especially in these troubled times. Here is an important message for all of us from the Bible: "And those slain by Jehovah will certainly come to be in that day from one end of the earth clear to the other end of the earth. They will not be bewailed, neither will they be gathered up or be buried. As manure on the surface of the ground they will become." (Jeremiah 25:33) (YLT)
I have a lot going on right now in my life, both difficult and happy things. Being patient and allowing God to work are things I need to keep my mind on this week. Thanks!
I've always loved that Scripture and find it particularly appropriate at this time in my life and what I'm going through.
Love the flower!
Beautiful, Colleen! The Lord has been impressing upon me to get quiet, and to be still before Him - to soak in His Word, where there is rest from all that I've been traveling through ... He wants me free of all the chains that hold me back from being all that I can be in Him ... I need to let Him have His way, so that I can be free, and 'run'!! He so 'longs' for each one of us ... He wants us to run free, and not be weary! Thank you for sharing this ... the photos are beautiful! You have a blessed day, my friend.

I was just on Fwren's site, and read about your husband, and some of the things you've been through with your move.
Now I understand why this post, to count it all joy, Colleen! I know it's not always easy, but know that I will certainly be praying for you all! My husband fell and broke his ankle on Christmas Eve, and was out of work for quite sometime. God provided, as He always does, and we made it through those difficult, and trying, days. There are other things as well, but God has been so very faithful to us, as I know He has been, and will continue to be, to you!
Blessings, my friend! <><
Whenever I read those verses I think about my husband's Grandma, who is a 93 year old lady who has been saved for ever so long. When I think of "patience" I think of her...after years of trusting the Lord and seeing how He works, how FAITHFUL He is, she is calm...she KNOWS Who has His eye on her....and as for me, I am learning.
I also came from Fwren's site and want you to know....I'm praying for you! I'm sorry you've been going through some tough times. You are still and ever will be, in God's hand.
I've been blessed by the things you've posted here and am glad we're now "friends"!
The last few days of Streams in the Desert have been so comforting...
"...when God wants to bring more power into your life, He brings more pressure. He is generating spiritual force by hard rubbing. Some do not like it and run away from the pressure, instead of getting the power and using it to rise above the painful causes."
"Afflictions are often the black folds in which God doth set the jewels of His children's graces, to make them shine the better."
"Our Lord is constantly taking us into the dark, that He may tell us things...into the dark of some crushing sorrow and disappointment. Then He tells us His secrets, great and wonderful, eternal and infinite..."
Whatever He is doing is good because He is GOD! He's adding more facets to His "diamond" although the cutting is painful, the result will be a gem that will more brilliantly reflect His light!! May the Lord increase our joy in Him ~ even in the midst of trials and difficulties. He's teaching me the same... Blessings on you! ~ Danelle
