  • Always Hungering for More

As the peace of the Sabbath falls over our home tonight, the words of this song ring in my heart…our hearts always hunger for more of Him.  If you don’t know the song, you can hear it on the playlist of the main page of my weblog.

As I  thought about what picture to put with this post, this painting called “Ever Interceding” came to mind…ponder the image and the words of this song…be blessed.

    Wonderful Merciful Savior

    Wonderful, merciful Savior
    Precious Redeemer and Friend
Who would have thought that a Lamb
Could rescue the souls of men
Oh you rescue the souls of men

    Counselor, Comforter, Keeper
    Spirit we long to embrace
You offer hope when our hearts have
    Hopelessly lost the way
Oh, we've hopelessly lost the way

You are the One that we praise
You are the One we adore
You give the healing and grace
    Our hearts always hunger for
Oh, our hearts always hunger for

    Almighty, infinite Father
    Faithfully loving Your own
Here in our weakness You find us
    Falling before Your throne
Oh, we're falling before Your throne

Can you see Him interceding for you?

Can you hear him calling for your heart once again?

  • Yes, I can hear Him and I am so very grateful for His call.

  • Powerful image and one I think I "forget" too often. As I seek the Father and pour out my heart to Him...just for the assistance to get through this life, I forget that Christ is always interceding. I hope the impact that this image has had on me stays present in my mind. Thank-you for sharing this today. How are the kids doing? Better I hope. With prayers~Dawne

  • I too am grateful.

    How is your daughter?

  • Whenever I pray (especially about my cancer, this year) this image is similar to what I imagine is happening in heaven while my words go up to Him.

  • @DawneElla - @i_was_there_and_back_again - Thanks for asking.  She seems to be doing much better - no pain attacks yesterday.  She was totally wiped out from pain and vomiting and is slowly regaining her strength again.  We don't know if she has passed the stone...we hope so!

  • what a wonderful picture.....the brokenness and pain and anguish of the world....His heart must break for us as His body did.....

  • I love this song.

Thanks for stopping by my site. Feel free to return and visit anytime you'd like.
