  • His Hand Over Our Lives

Since 9pm last night my daughter was admitted to ER in excruciating pain and vomiting and in our four hour stay there it was confirmed that she has a kidney stone, so until she passes it the next couple of days will not be fun….today she is totally drained and resting.  We fell into bed at 1.35am this morning.

And then at 8.12 am I get a call from my son who was on his way to college telling me he is okay, but that he crashed and the car he was driving is not okay and that it is down an embankment…my words to him are “I am glad you are okay, don’t stress, God knew this was going to happen this morning…"

What a difference it makes to know…

That everything that comes to us, has to pass through the hand of God before reaching us

Nothing can happen to us for which He has not made provision

I can trust Him always in every circumstance and every situation

He has His hand over our lives

And He has made provision and will supply all our needs

That every promise in the  Book is mine

I don’t have to be anxious because I know that He holds our lives in His hands

I am thankful that both my children know and understand this!

I am praying that the Lord will allow the stone to pass quickly and as painlessly as possible and that she will be able to keep some food down…please pray too.

When I went to take my son an extra warm jacket  and to see where the car had crashed it was clearly evident that one little young tree had halted the progression of the car down the embankment – thank you Lord for this and for saving him from injury and the car from rolling!

I am so thankful for His hand over our lives....great is His faithfulness.

  • We take His protection for granted each and every day!  Praying that the kidney stone will pass.  (I too have had one...and they are not fun at all...even worse than childbirth).   Praising God with you for his protection over your loved ones today.

  • Praying with you for your children. As troublesome as life can be at times it is so very good and comforting to know our times are in His hands and we can hold on to His promises as He see's us through all the troubles. ~Dawne

  • Amen! So glad to hear your kids are both okay!

  • Pain worse than childbirth, oh I cannot imagine.  Prayers for your daughter.  I am glad to hear that your son is okay.

  • Your peaceful faith is glorious to behold. May the Lord meet your heart's desires for both of your children now.

  • wow glad everyone is ok.  God knows how to bring those test to us kinda like Job.  May God give you strength to get through this!

  • your words here tonight really spoke to my heart~ will pray for your daughter.. that it will pass quickly. my dad's had kidney stones, so i understand how painful they can be - and it's hard to watch someone you love go through that. so glad your son was okay.. that's NOT a call a mom likes to get, "i was in a wreck...." but as you said, we can trust that everything that comes to us has first been filtered through our Father's hand. and even though i might not always like what He sends, there's comfort in knowing He only does what is the absolute best for my life~ resting in that thought brings peace.

your blog is an encouragement to me. thanks. :)

  • I am standing in agreement with you on every one of those promises you stated in your blog.  God does not lie and He does not promise one thing to one person and nothing to another person.  I'm praising God that both of your children are in good hands and our Father is healing them both as we pray together!  God Bless!

  • Praying for all of you right now!

  • Praying for your daughter and your son.  It is so amazing how He works always we can see His hand of MERCY!
