Wordkeeping
My sister who lives half a world away from me in California recently invited me to join her on a journey to Wordkeeping and what an inspiration and blessing it is.
Wordkeeping: Purposefully hiding God’s Word in our hearts by daily study, memorization and meditation. Choosing to think about a specific Scripture instead of just letting our thoughts ramble while our hands are occupied with the daily activities of life.
You can read all about this journey visit: http://www.wordkeeping.com/ and if you want to come along with me next time sign up and let me know. The next journey begins 1 September 2008.

I read all of these entries, but in reverse order. LOL
Yes!! Amazing that we Christians tend to wonder why we struggle, yet do not do the most basic of instructions we are given. Spending a lot of time in God's Word, and allowing it to change us.
Another one is that Christians often do not want to really KNOW God. I mean the way you can't stop thinking about and trying to get to know a new love. He tells us to seek Him. Yet we are often fine with our 10 minute "quiet time" and think we've nurtured a relationship.
Yeah, try that one with your husband being fine with just giving you 10 minutes a day of "quiet time" and then ignoring you except when he wants something. Doesn't exactly make you feel nurtured.
Good entry. I will check out the study. Though I'm already doing my Torah study each morning, I'm always doing additional stuff throughout the day when I have a few minutes of rest between chores or if I can listen to something while I'm inside working.
