  • Delight

      

    I delight to do Your will, O my God,
    And Your law is within my heart

    Ps 40:8

    Today I want to take delight, I choose to take delight  –

    today I want His Word in my heart, I choose to hold it there.

     

     

    What do the words “delight” and “within” say to you?

    And then as I was thinking about God’s Word within me

    the words of this song came to mind:

     

     

    I'm finding myself at a loss for words
    And the funny thing is it's okay
    The last thing I need is to be heard
    But to hear what You would say

    Word of God speak
    Would You pour down like rain
    Washing my eyes to see
    Your majesty
    To be still and know
    That You're in this place
    Please let me stay and rest
    In Your holiness
    Word of God speak

    I'm finding myself in the midst of You
    Beyond the music, beyond the noise
    All that I need is to be with You
    And in the quiet hear Your voice

    I'm finding myself at a loss for words
    And the funny thing is it's okay

     

     

    I love the pictures of pouring down like rain, and of being still, staying, resting –

    I desire that experience and I pray it for each one of you that stops by here.

    40. Time to work with my children in their homeschooling

     

    41. The fact that the Sabbath will be here in a few hours and I will have wonderful, 

         peaceful time with God and my wonderful husband and very precious children!

  • This post really spoke to me this morning. Mostly about my desires and such.

    The words "delight" and "within" mean to me... content and peace found resting in Gods will/word, the excitement and fulfillment found in the complete love/obedience of/to God abiding inside.

  • bless you dear for all of your comments!! and i always love your pictures and your words...you make me stop, think, pray. that song is wonderful ~ Word of God speak. how is your winter coming? we ate salad last night for dinner with our lettuces!! i noticed the rabbit out by the fence yesterday...she is probably trying to figure out how to jump it. the beans are looking fabulous. but the japanese beetles are horrific this year - all over my asparagus, my roses, my perennials. and i won't use sprays or powders because i am strictly an organic gardener. and maybe one of these days i could visit you! blessings on the weekend and your Sabbath. melinda
