  • Growth & Influence

    Growth

    The inescapable reality is that

    pleasant,

                    mundane

                              or difficult,

    every situation

                 or circumstance

    is a unique opportunity,

    entrusted to us

              by our Father

    for personal spiritual growth

             and sharing Him with others

    through our words,

                            actions

and the way we relate to life.

    Our lives endlessly exert

            a powerful influence

    on those our lives touch.

What will your influence be today?

    (Phil 1:12-14)

  • Thank you for this reminder. My influence today..... I pray that I will show patience and grace. I am leaning on the verse that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

  • Lord, help me to remember this....everything I do, think, or speak makes a difference spiritually for me and/or for others!  Thank you for the reminder.

  • oh, dear Colleen, always ever reminding us of what the Lord is doing in our lives. blessings on the rest of your day today and the week to come.

  • I think we too often forget that we do have a sphere of influence.  There are those who are watching our lives, although they may be unknown to us.  May God help us to so live that those who are following in our footsteps, will follow us straight to Heaven.  God bless ~Judy

  • may others see Jesus and not me...

  • What a wonderful post!
    Amen!
Sometimes being a sahm I feel like I am invisible and forget that there are those around me needing to see Jesus!

  • You know, Jesse and I just heard a sermon this morning talking about the influence parents have over their own children. They watch us. How we respond and react to things that come our way is what forms our children.

Sometimes I think I am more worried about being a good example for Christ in public and forget the impact (the stronger impact) I have in my own home!

  • It's all about Him. Thank you for this beautiful reminder!

  • This devotion really hit me today -- I shall reread it each day this week -- I really want it to take root in my heart. Thank you for sharing. Blessings, Laurie
